I enjoy getting dolled up for work every morning and I think that dressing up really sets the tone for the day. Some days I’m more casual and others I like to rock a cute pair of heels that often look a lot better than they feel. Sure, it’s nice to splurge on an outfit, but in these hard economic times I try to put my family’s expenses before.
Thanks to my previous gig at The Style Network’s hit show “The Look for Less” I’ve got quite the knack for shopping with a thriftier eye. I thought I’d share some of my looks from The View and offer an alternate look for less. Hope you enjoy and feel free to do requests with screenshots or airdates!
For my first look I chose my outfit from The View on January 20 where I wore this:
Now, here is my look for less:
Dress: Julie Dillon Chiffon Shift Dress $98.90
Shoes: Zebedee by Nine West - $49.99
That outfit only cost $149 and I think it’s stylish but economical alternative. Do you like it? Let me know what you think!

Loved the outfit you wore on the view today. Black and White patterned sleeveless dress. Where can I find it? I also love how glowing your skin always looks. Any secrets or products you love? -

My name is Jacqueline and I'm a big fan of your style. I have been trying to figure out what lipgloss/lipcolor you always use on The View along with your nail polish color. They go so well together and you always seems to wear the same ones.
I was also wondering where you purchased the double buckle belt that you have worn with dresses and shirts.
Thanks :) -
Hi Elizabeth i love this dress. Great dress for less I saw you on Dr. Oz you were wearing a green top which I LOOOOve who is it by? Thanks Jen -
Elisabeth, I do like the outfit but in todays economic situation I wish I could justify spending over $100 on an outfit like this. I am a mom of two and I currently am a stay at home mom and not by choice. My husbands job is so unstable there are times he works any where from 40 hrs to as little as 15 hrs per week. So to spend that much when on a GF house its just not going to work. We shop thrift stores for clothes so unless I can find this there it will stay out of my clothset. Now if you have tips on how to shop GF on a tight budget like this sign me up for that class. I do thank you for all that you are doing for makeing Celiac known and helping educate folks on this condition.
