My spirits are still running high since I hosted and completed the MORE Women’s Half Marathon in New York. These races inspire! I dedicated my race to TeamRWB.org and veteran's causes, as well as the Celiac Disease Center NYC. In the picture above I'm with Mary Wittenberg, the President and CEO of New York Road Runners!!! She was the most incredible coach throughout the race for me, and she did me the HUGE favor of pacing me throughout the miles. We actually had the most incredible talk, and she and I both share the love of running with our friends! Big thanks as well to my trailblazing friends for team NoGii: Jenni, Sandi, Shikha, Jackie and Amy, you women are AMAZING!
I wanted to share a few more photos from my run with you, as well as tell you about several races that are well worth training for.
On your mark, get set...GO! 7,088 women ready and running! KICKING SOME ASPHALT for 13.1 miles !

What the results say: 1:40:05 Finish Time
What no one knows is that just before this picture was snapped, I snapped my headphones out of my iPhone and LOST IT! I was totally torn between searching for the device that holds my entire life record, and the desperate need to cross the finish line with my kids waiting for me. I decided to run it out.
Thanks to Patrick from the race for finding it!!!

It was an honor to be the host of this year's race. I proudly ran in support of Team NoGii to raise funds for Celiac Disease research as well as in support of military veterans for TeamRWB.org.

The awards ceremony with More's Lesley Jane Seymour and Fitness' Betty Wong.

GO ELISABETH! Where can I get your gray NOGII pullover in your picture above? Your running is inspiring to all :) -
@Meryl Apple, Thanks for the tip! I am already running 3 minutes a week and walking for about 5 and I am slowly adding in about 1 minute to 1 and half of running each week. :) -
Hi GEM! I just finished running my first 10k. I remember when I was starting out (about a year ago) I was incredibly intimidated. There are some great fitness plans out there, but my advice is to stat with running 2-5 minutes, then walking 8-10 minutes and repeating for a solid week, then adding running time as you feel comfortable. That's how I started. Anyone else have tips? -
Hi Elisabeth! You inspire me and I'm looking forward to my 4th ever half marathon on June 16th! Random question, but I have been searching for sunglasses to run in and the ones you have on are exactly what I've been looking for. What brand are they?? Thanks so much!!! -
Elizabeth, I've always wanted to run a half marathon but I just don't know where to start. I've done a 5k before and I am continuing to run. Can you point me in right direction? Thanks! BTW I am a big fan of yours! :)
