Dr. Jill Biden (wife of Vice President Joe Biden) paid a visit to The View recently, where she talked about her new children’s book called Don’t Forget, God Bless Our Troops. The book is full of beautiful illustrations, as the story recounts how Dr. Biden’s granddaughter Natalie dealt with her father's deployment to Iraq in 2008. Natalie helped Dr. Biden with the book every step of the way, telling her grandmother how she felt about her father going overseas.

Dr. Biden hopes that the book will help Americans become even more supportive of our service men and women by highlighting the challenges endured by military families. Our troops make the ultimate sacrifice for our country, and it’s with literature like this and fantastic organizations like Team Red, White and Blue, that we can all pull together for these brave men, women and families.

Haven't seen these books grace our shores as yet but they do sound great. Fav book(s)for my kids i think would be The Adventures of Blinky Bill by Dorothy Wall. Its about a scallyway koala who gets into all sorts of mischief but is loveable all the same. My kids ages range from 17yrs to 7 yrs old. I have three, so the older two were a bit of a stretch to remember but if i had to sit them all down together, still little this would be it.
