Every time I head out to Los Angeles I make sure to clear my schedule so I can spend time exercising in Runyon Canyon.
Sometimes L.A. gets unfairly painted as plastic and fake but once you set foot within the rugged, natural beauty of Runyon Canyon you’ll take it back. This highly popular 160-acre destination is a beloved landmark for hiking enthusiasts, campers, runners, nature lovers, and anyone who has a dog.
The 360-degree view alone provides motivation to make it to the top of one of the many high points. Many of the trails (routes or loops) can take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes to complete and vary in intensity. I always love to make my way up to Indian Rock and soak in the breathtaking vista.
Exercise and fresh air aside, you’ll also encounter the indigenous wildlife and I’m not just talking about animals. Since the Canyon is bordered by the Hollywood Hills, celebrity sightings become a part of your workout routine!
Have you ever hiked in or around Runyon Canyon or the Hollywood Hills? Had any good celebrity sightings?
