Apr 11, 2012 at 11:20am by Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Fat is not your enemy, as long as you eat small portions of good fats. Small amounts of healthy fats are good for you and help make you feel full so that you can lose weight.

Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Just a few tablespoons have almost 200% of your recommended daily dose.

Almonds

Almonds are very satisfying and full of healthy fats and vitamin E. A small handful is about 170 calories and will curb your appetite.

 Avocados

Avocados are the world’s healthiest fruit and are full of nutrients like vitamin K, dietary fiber, potassium, folic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin C and copper. A small amount goes a long way.

Olives

Soaking almonds in a glass of water overnight increases nutritional benefits and makes them easier to digest. No, they do not get soggy, but actually become crisp! Try it with raw sunflower seeds too. Info on Livestrong.com: http://www.livestrong.com/article/509747-why-do-people-soak-almonds-in-water/
