Mitt Romney gave a stirring speech last week at the Republican National Convention in Tampa. He touched on everything from job creation to taxes and healthcare, and he also shared some personal anecdotes about his family, particularly about the strong women in his life. Check out some of the highlights here:

This week, the Democratic National Convention takes place in Charlotte. It will be interesting to compare and contrast the Democrats’ platform with what we heard at last week’s Republican National Convention.

What issues are most important to you going into Election 2012?

I am really excited with the new young republicans I am seeing. I really like Marco Rubio. I pray for Romney and Ryan. The Democratic Party has gone so far left it scarey. Plus I want to see a business man run the country. There are some democratic issues I go along with concerning the environment but their moral issues are out of control. I couldn't vote for any of them. If Obama gets in I will have to hide money if I have any under the mattress.
