In the years since September 11, 2001, the new World Trade Center complex has gradually come to life. Today, Ground Zero is being transformed into a beautiful memorial and a thriving transportation and business hub. One World Trade Center is nearing completion, and when it opens in 2013, it will be the third largest skyscraper in the world and one of the most environmentally friendly buildings of its size.
Have you heard about Team RWB’s 93 Cents for Flight 93 marathon?
If you live in New York, be sure to visit the 9/11 museum at the World Trade Center complex soon. And if you live outside of New York, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum provides a great list of ideas for commemorating 9/11 in your hometown.
OUR COLLEGE FRIEND... OUR NATION's HERO:
How do you plan to commemorate 9/11 today?

Dear Elizabeth,
My name is Cinnamon Lofton. I am a spiritual advisor living in Avila Beach, Ca. I watch your show regularly and create fun doing so. This morning I heard you describing your explanation to Grace about 911 and I heard you asking sincerely for feedback about other ways the conversation could have gone.
When the actual event occured, I like most people in the world watched in tears and disbelief . My grandson who's name is Freedom sat on the couch beside me and put his arm around me to comfort me. I said, "Freedom, I want you to know..I am weeping for all the souls; for people in the building, their families, and also the people flying the planes and their families which crashed into our world. They are not really bad people. They are people that have different lives than ours. They don't understand us and I don't see us going out of our way to understand them. So, "When I pray Freedom, I pray for the willingness for all people to realize that God is on the side of LOVE and that covers all sides. The challenge is to pray for those who persecute us and be willing to learn to honor the differences among all people. Love is the only true path to peace and serenity.
Thank you Elizabeth for giving me an opportunity to share with you. I would love to hear from you.
Lovingly,
Cinnamon Lofton

I saw you talk about how difficult it was to explain to your daughter the events of 9/11. I wrote a post on my blog about the most important things small children should know about 9/11. I hope you'll read it.
