The Olympics are just around the corner and though every event is incredible, I’m especially looking forward to watching the Women’s Track events. The US has a very promising women’s team this year, but one woman in particular stands out: Allyson Felix.

Felix shot to the spotlight recently after a controversial third place tie between with her teammate Jeneba Tarmoh, but her athletic ability has made her a bold name in the track world. This summer, she’s running the 200m and the 100m, but she’s got her eye focused on the 200m – “That's what my goal is for these Games,” she told Reuters. “That's what is missing.”
For the past two Olympics she has won silver medals in this event, just behind Jamaican sprinter Veronica Campbell-Brown. But for these Games, she's equipped with a new accomplishment: a new world-leading 21.69 time from the U.S. Olympic Trials (the third fastest time an American has ever run).
Do you think this incredible runner has a strong chance of taking the gold in London?
