Spring break isn’t just for college kids. It’s also a great time for you and your family to take a nice vacation together. Here are a few suggestions:
-
Disney World/Disneyland – Kids love Disney! Whether you go to Disney World in Orlando or Disneyland in Southern California, it would be family vacation to remember. There are lots of opportunities for your kids to get up close and personal with their favorite characters and personalities.
-
Orlando, Florida – Not only is Disney World in Orlando, there’s so much more to do there! Universal Studios and Sea World also provide great family fun.
-
Steamboat Springs, Colorado – Head to the slopes while the college kids are at the beaches! Many ski resorts have great discounts on lift tickets this time of year.
-
Oahu, Hawaii – Oahu is family focused with lots of activities, shopping, and so much more!
-
San Diego, California – San Diego has some of the best weather in the world and is home to an amazing zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, Coronado Island, the Gas Lamp District, miles of bike paths, surfing, and museums!
-
New York, New York – As a New Yorker myself, I had to include NYC on my list! At this time of year, other New Yorkers are going on vacations themselves, so it’s the perfect time to visit the city. You can catch some Broadway shows or go to the Lego store. There’s also Central Park, Victorian Gardens, the Statue of Liberty, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Children’s Museum of Manhattan and so much more.
-
Rhode Island – Since this is my home state, I highly recommend checking it out. Rhode Island may be small, but it has so much to offer! Take the family for some sightseeing in Newport. There are some beautiful mansions there! You can also go to Dels Lemonade, Federal Hill, the World Scholar Athlete Hall of Fame, Providence Water Fire, the Upper East Side and the Narragansett beaches. There’s so much to do!
